Privacy Policy — OnMisn Companion
Effective 10 August 2026 · OnMisn d.o.o.
The short version
- Your phone usage is analysed on your device. The app's analysis of your call log happens locally and never leaves your phone. Caller ID, if you switch it on, works differently — it is described below.
- There is no tracking. No analytics, no advertising, no profiling, no sale of data — to anyone, ever.
- The app talks only to your organization's OnMisn Lawyer system. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party, with the single exception of push-notification delivery described below.
What the app is
OnMisn Companion is a mobile companion for organizations using the OnMisn Lawyer system. It requires a corporate sign-in on your organization's own server and its usability is limited without one.
Call log (Android)
With your explicit permission, the app reads the call log on your device to show your usage patterns and to match business calls against your organization's contacts and your timesheets. This processing happens entirely on your device. Your call history — numbers, names, times, durations — is never transmitted anywhere, in any form. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your phone's settings (Settings → Apps → OnMisn Companion → Permissions), and the app continues to work without it.
Caller ID, described next, is a separate feature with a different data flow. It does not use the call log, and enabling one does not enable the other.
Caller ID (Android)
If you switch on Caller ID, Android can make OnMisn Companion your device's call screening app. Android then tells the app the phone number of incoming and outgoing calls that are not saved in your phone's contacts. Calls to and from contacts you have saved are never seen by the app.
This is the one feature that sends information about a call off your device. For each call it is offered, the app sends that single phone number to your organization's own OnMisn Lawyer server to ask whether it belongs to a known contact. If it matches, the app briefly shows you that contact's name, their company, and a short summary line your organization configures. Nothing else is sent, and the app creates no record of the call.
The number goes only to your own organization's server, over an encrypted connection, using your personal access key — never to OnMisn d.o.o., and never to any third party. Your organization's server may log the request as it logs any other query you make there. The answer is shown to you as a notification and is not stored on your device.
The app holds the call screening role solely to identify callers: it never blocks, rejects, silences or diverts any call. You can switch this off at any time in your phone's settings by choosing a different caller ID app, or none.
What stays on your device
- All call-log analysis and charts.
- Your manual "company / private" call tags.
- A digest of your organization's contact phone numbers used for matching.
- Your sign-in credential, stored in the operating system's secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain).
What is transmitted, and to whom
The app communicates only with your organization's own OnMisn Lawyer server, over an encrypted connection:
- Sign-in happens in your browser on that server — the app never sees your password. The server issues the app a per-device access key.
- The app sends your device's name and a push-notification token so your organization's server can reach this device.
- The app requests data you are entitled to see there: your timesheets and your organization's contact phone numbers.
- If you have switched on Caller ID, the app sends the phone number of a call it is asked to screen, so the server can tell it who is calling.
OnMisn d.o.o. receives none of this. The one third party involved is Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google), which delivers push notifications; it handles a routing token, not your content or your call data.
Your controls and deletion
- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
- The per-device access key is visible and revocable at any time in your OnMisn Lawyer user settings, by you or your administrator.
- Caller ID can be switched off at any time in your phone's settings, which stops the app being offered any calls at all.
- Data held on your organization's server (timesheets, contacts) belongs to and is administered by your organization.
Roles
For data on your organization's OnMisn Lawyer server, your organization is the data controller and OnMisn d.o.o. is the software provider. Call-log analysis is performed solely on your device, at your instruction, and is not accessible to either your organization or OnMisn. Caller ID lookups are the exception: each lookup sends one phone number to your organization's server, where your organization is the data controller for that request.
